HSCC BOARD MEMBERS

 
 
Chairman - Chris Sharples.

Chris has been chairman of the club since his election in 2005. A recently retired marketing director for Unilever Chris races a Chevron Formula Atlantic in our Derek Bell Trophy and a Palliser Historic Formula Ford.

A long time motor racing enthusiast, Chris is now in charge of the "sweet shop"!

 
Vice Chairman - Chris Alford.

First elected at the same time as the Chairman Chris has previously served on the HSCC board and has been a driving force behind our very successful Historic Formula Ford Championship.

A very successful racing driver in many different cars and now a senior instructor at Silverstone Racing School, many of our current members have been taught by Chris.

 
Treasurer - Anthony Goddard

Anthony is responsible for most of the systems which make members lives easier, particularly the pre  filled entry forms. The owner of a brewery on the Isle of Wight he races a Merlyn Historic Formula Ford.

 
Executive Director - Grahame White

Grahame is in day to day control of the HSCC, it is he who puts together the race programme and makes sure the office and race meetings run smoothly. Very experienced as a motor racing organiser and has also raced and rallied internationally.

 
Charles Barter - Represents 70s Road Sports.

Elected 70s representative at the 2005 Silverstone Finals meeting, a watercress producer who races a Datsun 240Z (with which he often wins), his son Julian also races in 70s Road Sports with the HSCC. Charles is also an accomplished Hill Climber (with cars not walking boots!)

 
Bob Birrell

Our man on various MSA committees, and chairman of the MSA Historic committee. Races a Brabham BT6 in Historic Formula Junior and has just aquired a Chevron F5000 car to race in our Derek Bell Series.

 
Graeme Dodd - Represents Historic Saloons.

Graeme races in HRSR Saloons with a Mk2 Jaguar, XK Jaguars and BRDC Historic Sportscars with a Cooper Monaco. He is an accomplished racing driver with many wins under his belt.

 
Mike Eagles - Represents Historic Road Sports.

Director of Fairmont Insurance, races a rare Australian MilanoGT. He also owns a DeThomaso Mangusta which he is preparing for future races in HRS.

 
Frank Lyons - Represents Derek Bell Trophy.

Owns and races many cars including Historic F1 and F5000. Newly elected to Chairman of DBT in 2006.

 
David Pullen - Represents Classic Racing Cars.

Currently races a Chevron B17 F3 screamer, David is also one of the club's single seater registrars.

 
Alan Putt - Chief Registrar.

 

 
Duncan Rabagliati - Represents  Formula Junior.

Duncan is Chairman of the Formula Junior Historic Racing Association and administers their FIA championship, The Lurani Trophy, as well as their domestic racing activities, by profession he is a solicitor and he races an Alexis.

 
Andrew Schryver - Represents Sports Racing Cars

An electronics engineer who races a Chevron B8 & B21, and a Lotus 11.

 
Lincoln Small.

Ex Renault main dealer and owner of Radbourne Racing. Races an Ex Derek Bell Brabham BT30 in our Derek Bell Trophy Series.

 
Simon Hadfield

Very successful racing driver and car preparer, Simon has served on the HSCC board before and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience.

 
Stuart Tizzard - Represents Classic Sports Cars

Company Director, Helicopter Pilot, sometime pantomime dame. Races a Lenham Spider and Lotus Elan.

 
Jason Williams - Represents Historic Formula Ford.

A diamond dealer in the City of London. He races many different cars from the family stable, and his sister and father race as well. A new Dad this year to daughter Gemma!

 
Reg James - Represents Classic Formula 3.

The chairman of the Classic Formula 3 association. Reg runs an engineering company.

In The Office

Martin Atack - Joined the HSCC in 2003 having previously been in the licensed leisure industry. Although a car enthusiast has had a steep learning curve in administration of historic motor racing. Created the new HSCC web site, and is largely responsible for it's maintainance.

 

Alan Jones - Alan is a fully fledged motor racing enthusiast with an encyclopaedic knowledge of all things racy and as such he has been an invaluable addition to the office. Alan is also very customer (member) focused and is often the first voice you will hear if ringing the office.

 

Emma Jemmett - Emma's job is to keep Martin & Alan in order and use her psychic powers to work out what cars the members expect us to know they plan to race despite not sending entry forms or championship registrations.

Emma is also our accounts lady and makes sure spending is controlled and with Anthony's help we finish each season with no red numbers on the balance sheet.
