Historic F2

Historic Formula 2 is our European championship for Formula 2 cars that raced pre-1979. The HSCC has promoted the championship since 2006 and has been attracting growing support of these impressive cars with steadily growing grid sizes. It’s a truly multi-national competition with a roster of competitors from over ten nations including drivers from throughout Europe, Japan and Brazil. Registered cars include 10 marques; Brabham, Chevron, Crossle, Lola, Lotus, March, Modus, Pygmee, Ralt and Surtees.

The championship takes in classic European tracks and wherever possible is scheduled to run alongside series such as Historic Formula 1, Group C and the Martini Trophy.

Whilst race winners always come from 2 litre cars, there are classes for 1600cc F2 (with and without aerodynamic devices), and Atlantic cars. In recent years the overall champion has often come from the 1600cc F2 class.
