Pure Historic Racing Since 1966

Membership

Whether you race, marshal or spectate, you will find the HSCC a very friendly club. We race on the best UK circuits. The paddock is full of quite exceptional machinery. If you compete you will find championships that run to clear regulations.  Racing is competitive but our members are determined to maintain good driving standards. We are a not for profit members club and our sole aim is to help members enjoy themselves driving 'nice' proper cars.
If this whets your appetite just have a look at our calendar page, find a meeting, and come and wander around the paddock. Chat to our members and maybe the HSCC could be the right club for you.

Membership
All members can keep up to date by receiving the Club's journal, the 'HSCC News'. This reports news from the Club, race reports of our own meetings and follows the exploits of members in European racing. They may also attend the Club's Annual Awards Dinner. This celebrates our championship and marque award winners. In recent years guests of honour have been Derek Bell, David Piper and Tony Brooks.
Racing members have these benefits, plus for a single membership fee they may race in any of the Club's championships.
If you are not a member but want to race with us then you can buy 'day' membership for £10. We do have to give priority to full members so a "day" member cannot displace a fully paid up HSCC member if there are reserves on the grid (up to the closing date of entries). "Day" membership can  only be used once in a season so if you wish to race thereafter you must join as a full racing member.
If you are an MSA Licensed marshal or marshal at our meetings then you qualify for Marshals Membership which has all the benefits of Club membership but at a discounted price

Starting Racing
We would be delighted if you wish to start racing with the HSCC. Every year we have lots of novices on the grid, so you won't be on your own. To get going you first need to apply to the MSA (Motor Sports Association) our sport’s governing body for a "go racing" pack. This details all you need to do to obtain a competition licence. http://shop.msauk.org/product_details.asp?id=4023
When you have your competition licence you can apply for the HSCC novice membership scheme, this gives you a refund of your membership fee in the form of a credit note which can be put towards a race entry in your first season. You are also entitled to free HSCC Vehicle Identity Forms (VIFs) a total saving of £185.00.

Downloadable membership forms are available at the bottom of this page.
